You guys!!! I’ve been boiling eggs the old-fashioned way my entire life, and while I don’t mind it, I recently discovered a new method that has changed my egg-cooking game forever—boiling eggs in the air fryer! The results? Absolutely amazing!
The Traditional Way of Boiling Eggs
For years, I followed the traditional method of boiling eggs.
Here’s how I usually boiled eggs:
Place a dozen eggs in a pot.
Fill the pot with cool water until it’s about an inch above the eggs.
Bring the water to a boil on medium/high heat.
Once the water reaches a hard boil, set the timer for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, remove the eggs and let them air dry and cool.
This method worked perfectly fine, and I always got eggs that peeled easily. But if you’re like me and love convenience and simplicity in the kitchen, there’s a better way!
The Air Fryer Method: A Game-Changer
Since I’m all about trying new things that make life easier, I gave the air fryer method a shot. Some people recommend cooking only 6 eggs at a time, but I went all in and tried 14 eggs (depending on the size of your air fryer).
Here’s how I air-fried my eggs:
Set the air fryer temperature to 265°F.
Cook the eggs for 17 minutes (I’ll probably try 19 minutes next time).
Carefully remove the eggs and let them cool.
That’s it! No water, no boiling—just super easy, perfectly cooked eggs. And the best part? I could just set the temp and time and walk away. So simple!
Do You Need to Cool the Eggs?
Some people recommend placing the eggs in a bowl of cold water after cooking to stop the process, but I’ve never done that. I skipped that step this time too, and the eggs turned out delicious!
Why You Should Try Air Fryer Eggs
If you’re looking for a quick, hassle-free way to make hard-boiled eggs, give the air fryer method a try. I think we should start calling them “hard-fried eggs” instead, haha! Either way, I’m not going to get technical—just give it a shot. You’ll love how easy and tasty the eggs turn out!
Until next time,
