How to Smoke Eggs for a BBQ

Happy 4th of July, everyone! This holiday is a favorite in our family and something we look forward to each year. We all get together at the lake cabin and partake in water sports, candy shops and good family fun. Along with all of this is some good food!

We’ll be missing our dad this year. He lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in November. But time keeps marching on and our memories with him are always with us. Dad was incredible at smoking meat. He took pride in making some incredible meals alongside my mom. They were an incredible team. We celebrated this great nation each year, and we'll continue to celebrate together even though Dad’s not with us.

I’m not known for my meat/food smoking abilities but thank goodness I have friends that are! Whew! So, today I’ll share a recipe from my friend, Samantha. She agreed to help me with this so I can pass along this recipe to you! Thanks Sam!!

Smoked Egg Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 Dozen Eggs

  • Foil Pan

  • Pam Spray

  • Wood chips for flavoring

Directions:

  1. Hard boil the eggs, then peel them.

  2. Spray the foil pan with Pam and place the peeled eggs in the pan.

  3. Set your smoker to 300°F and place the pan with the eggs on the smoker.

  4. Smoke the eggs for about 30 minutes.

  5. Carefully remove the pan from the smoker and allow the eggs to cool.

Smoked egg and potato salad anyone? Yum!! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! Whether you celebrated last weekend, this weekend or all week, have fun and be safe!

Until next time,

The Wing Lady
