How to Make Cloud Eggs: A Fun and Tasty Life Hack

Updated: Sep 27

Have you ever watched those “Life Hacks” videos? Our kids are really into them, and one day, our youngest son asked if we could make "poofy eggs." I immediately knew he was talking about cloud eggs! He was surprised I knew about them, and I was excited to give them a try. Let me tell you, they turned out SO good!

If you want to “wow” your family or guests with something unique and delicious, give cloud eggs a shot!

What Are Cloud Eggs?

Cloud eggs are a fun and fluffy way to serve eggs. By whipping the egg whites into soft peaks and baking them, you get a light, airy "cloud" with a perfectly nestled yolk in the center. They’re simple to make but look super impressive.

Ingredients:

  • Eggs

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks, setting the yolks aside.

  3. Whip the egg whites in a mixer (a hand mixer works too) until soft peaks form.

  4. Spoon the whipped egg whites onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making small “clouds” with a little divot in the center.

  5. Carefully place the yolks into the divots.

  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, adjusting the time depending on how runny or firm you like your yolk.

  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!

Why Try Cloud Eggs?

These cloud eggs are not only delicious, but they also make a fun and creative breakfast option for your family or guests. Plus, they’re super easy to make!

Enjoy!
